Greensburg KS, Deadly EF-5 Tornado 5-4-07

Chaser: Lanny Dean intercepts the deadly Greensburg KS EF-5 tornado! This deadly tornado took place on the evening of May 4, 2007 and totally destroyed the city of Greensburg KS. The tornado was 1.7 miles wide and was on the ground for close to 30 miles. Watch storm chaser Lanny Dean as he films the tornado from its birth to when it actually went into the city of Greensburg KS. 11 people lost their lives and the tornado did over $250 billion dollars worth of damage. Some of this extreme tornado video has never been seen and is very rare.
